Ladies and gentlemen!  

On August 25th 1998, the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority was established by the Prime Minister with the function to perform state management of industrial zones in the province. After 20 years of construction and development, 16 industrial parks in Bac Ninh province have been approved by the Prime Minister with the total area of ​​more than 6,300 ha. At present, 10 IZs have been put into operation and 1,278 domestic and foreign investment projects have been granted the investment certficates with total registered capital of US$ 17.43 billion. In 2017, the industrial production value was VND 664,674 billion; export value was USD 28.4 billion; job created for 282,000 employees; contribution to the government budget of 8,700 billion. In the first 6 months of 2018, the budget revenue reached 6,000 billion VND, expected to reach over 10,000 billion VND in the whole year.

Up to now, industrial parks have been growing rapidly. The organizational structure of Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority is also growing and improving. The Bacninh IZA always united to strive to accomplish excellently the political tasks assigned, contributing significantly to the economic restructuring of the province in the direction of increasing the proportion of industry and services, reducing the proportion of agriculture. By 2022, Bac Ninh will become a central-controlled city.

With these achievements, Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority has been recognized, commended and rewarded by the Government and Ministries. Particularly, the Authority was honored to receive the First, Second and Third Class Labor Medals awarded by the President of The Socialist Republic of Vietnam.

The Conference is held to recognize and evaluate achievements in the last 20 years of development, to identify key orientations, tasks and solutions to improve quality and efficiency in the last 6 months of 2018 and the following years. And at the same time,  the First-Class Labor Medal - the noble award of the State - will be solemnly awarded to Bacninh Industrial Zones Authority.

With that in mind, today, at this important moment, I sincerely announce the opening of the Conference to summarize the 20 years of building and developing industrial zones and receiving the First-Class Labor Medal of the Bacninh Industrial Zones Authority.
