At the tenth meeting of the Provincial People's Council, on behalf of the Provincial People's Committee, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vuong Quoc Tuan presented a summary report on the socio-economic situation and the executive work of the Provincial People's Committee in 2022, the plan socio-economic development in 2023.

In 2022, with the efforts of the whole political system, business community and people, Bac Ninh's economy has gradually overcome challenges, still achieved impressive results despite difficulties, many targets achieved and exceeded the plan, in which the economic growth rate reached 7.39%.

Bac Ninh currently has 166 state administrative agencies and units applying the Quality Management System (QMS) according to ISO 9001:2015, reaching the rate of 100%. The standardization of operating procedures according to ISO at these agencies is making a significant contribution in the process of building a scientific administration and building a constructive government to serve the people.

On the morning of December 12, the Provincial Institute for Socio-Economic Development Research in collaboration with the National Economics University held a scientific Show with the theme: "Industrialization and modernization on the basis of new tecnological science and creative innovation; Private economic development of Vietnamese people in Bac Ninh province: Current situation and orientation to 2030”.

Along with many activities of opening up and adapting in economic development, activities of investment attraction and promotion have been promoted by Bac Ninh in the direction of adapting to the new situation.

The development viewpoint to become the leading complete electronic production center in Vietnam, with many synchronous and flexible solutions, Bac Ninh focuses on the high-value segments such as smart phones, electronic devices, electronic components integrating the value chain. With the presence of 3 factories of Samsung Group (SEV, SDV, SDIV), the total investment of nearly USD 10 billion was invested in Yen Phong Industrial Park, from 2018 Bac Ninh has risen to the position No. 1 in the industrial production scale in the whole country, and at the same time become the largest electronic industrial production center in the Southeast Asia.

Since the beginning of the year, the domestic and provincial economies have recovered quickly thanks to the easing of restrictive measures to prevent and control the Covid-19 pandemic. Supportive policies promote great effectiveness in removing difficulties and obstacles of enterprises, creating maximum conditions for industrial parks to produce and do business in the direction of safe and flexible adaptation, both preventing - controlling epidemic and recovering - developing economy. The processing and manufacturing industry continues to play a major role in import and export activities due to the high increase in foreign direct investment capital in this field… These factors have been strongly promoted, creating motivation for economic growth in the last months of the year

In the morning of October 14, the Provincial Tax Department held the Conference to commend the organizations and individuals for good implementation of the tax policies and laws in 2020 and 2021. On the afternoon of August 25, 2022, the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority held a meeting to celebrate 24 years of establishment (August 25, 1998 - August 25, 2022).

Since establishment until now, after 24 years of construction, development and integration, closely following the guidelines and directions of the Central Government and the province, together with the cooperation of all levels, sectors and the business community, the Bac Ninh Industrial Zones Authority have been actualizing the aspiration to turn Bac Ninh into a modern industrial province, becoming one of the largest electrical-electronic industry production centers in the country. That aspiration has been proven by impressive numbers from concentrated industrial zones.

With the synchronous solutions to support the restoration of production and business in the province, in the first 6 months of the year, the index of industrial production (IIP) increased by 19.75% compared to the same period last year. This is the highest increase in the last 5 years (2018-2022) and is a prominent bright spot in the economic picture of Bac Ninh province in the first 6 months of 2022.
